Project partners from Panishop organised and participated in three training activities with students specialised in gastronomy, cooking and traditional bakery, with the objective to present the MED4Youth project.
Guillermo Saldaña, technical and scientific assistant at Panishop, attended the sessions and introduced MED4Youth as a key European project working to demonstrate the link between the Mediterranean Diet and its health benefits against youth obesity.
Additionally, he presented the work done by NOVAPAN to produce healthier, tastier and more sustainable bakery and pastry products for all kinds of costumers, but with a special focus on children and adolescents, with the aim to reduce the rate of obesity and improve the intestinal flora.
The first session was celebrated with students from the Degree in Food Science and Technology of the University of Zaragoza, while the second session was attended by IES Miralbueno (Zaragoza) students from the Hostel advanced specific training course specialised in the module of traditional bakery and pastry. On the other hand, the third session was organised online with gastronomy and cooking students of the Basque Culinary Centre, one of the gastronomic most important academic institution worldwide.
