The deliverable entitled “Report including the quantification of phenolic metabolites and key food intake biomarkers” presents a general overview of the methodologies applied to identify and quantify phenolic metabolites and key biomarkers of food intake in urine samples of the adolescents enrolled in the multi-centre study within the MED4Youth project. The deliverable includes preliminary quantitative data on phenolic metabolites and key biomarkers of food intake. Moreover, specifically concerning food intake biomarkers, all the operational and decision processes that lead to the selection of candidate food intake biomarkers are illustrated in this deliverable. The relation between food intake biomarkers and food categories, as well as the validation procedure for their use, are also explained.
