This deliverable entitled “Declaration of compliance with national legal frameworks (D1.2)” is part of the “Data privacy and Ethics” (WP1) requirements that the
MED4Youth project shall comply with.

The scope of this deliverable is to outline:
1. the protection of personal data;
2. the ethical issues and the legal framework related to the project activities;
3. the principles underlying the conduct of studies within MED4Youth that require
external ethical review and approval;
4. the food regulation.

All activities within the MED4Youth project and all interactions among the partners will be conducted according to the present data privacy and ethics management
framework. MED4Youth partners will adhere to the highest standards of research integrity and to all relevant national, EU and international regulations and laws as they apply to the specific activities.

MED4Youth will include research activities conducted on human beings. In the planning and implementation of such activities, all ethical issues will be fully considered. No research will begin until all requisite approvals are in place. The entire experimental work will be carried out according to the relevant ethics requirements.

Participants recruited for the project will be given some food during the trial (such as hummus/cooked chickpeas, pomegranate juice, nuts, and sourdough bread). All food products will be in line with the relevant national and EU food regulations and laws.
