
Toni Caimari, Director of the Biotechnology Area of Eurecat, participated in the final event of SWITCHtoHEALTHY project, held in the city of Barcelona on March 27, 2025. During the event, he offered a presentation of MED4Youth, a project coordinated by Eurecat and funded under the PRIMA Programme of the European Union.
The presentation highlighted the results of MED4Youth research study, which was conducted with adolescents in Spain, Italy and Portugal. The study had the objective to demonstrate the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet in maintaining and optimal weight, promoting healthy habits, and preventing youth obesity.
The event also featured representatives from PRIMA and presentations from several other EU-funded projects, including DELICIOUS, Mediat4all, MEDDIETMENUS, Tool4MEDLife, and Feed.
The SWITCHtoHEALTHY project focuses on transforming modern eating behaviours by empowering families to promote a sustainable Mediterranean food model. Its primary goal is to encourage a shift toward healthier, Mediterranean-based dietary patterns.
